A lot of times, people only look to either the Nordic region or the UK when discussing awesome new metal music. This is largely due to the massive explosion the metal has had recently, and with records like Basick calling that region home, it’s no surprise that we’ve been treated to some really awesome metal acts. However, France is a country that really gets overlooked, despite producing some really cool bands. Enter Moke’s, a French stoner band that just wants to crank the volume up to 11 and rock out. The band doesn’t necessarily reinvent the wheel here, but they’re a very promising young act. They have some very cool riffs in these songs, and the entire EP is chock full of fun moments that will make you want to bob your head with the beat. Some parts even take influence from the likes of bands like Kyuss and Queens Of The Stone Age, showing how far influences can travel.
