Latest Reviews

  • Ithaca – They Fear Us

    Calder Dougherty
    July 27, 2022
They Fear Us is glammed up and sure of itself, flaunting its bittersweet revelations and patriarchal eviscerations with precision and style. It's everything you could ask for from a follow-up to an already stellar debut.
  • Chat Pile – God’s Country

    Jimmy Rowe
    July 22, 2022
Oklahoma City's Chat Pile crept up from the underground to the greater hardcore consciousness with a pair of EPs in 201... Read More...
  • Imperial Triumphant – Spirit of Ecstasy

    Jimmy Rowe
    July 15, 2022
Spirit of Ecstasy feels as though it has a broader sense of purpose and (forgive me) triumphant spirit that Alphaville never quite reached, in hindsight. Listeners know what they're signing up for at this point in the band's discography, and Spirit of Ecstasy should leave absolutely nobody dissatisfied. You're getting what you want, and that's the ultimate Imperial Triumphant record; glorious, depraved, and weird as hell, and they're better at it than ever.
