When big bands play smaller, intimate venues, it’s always a treat. On April 14th, 2016, at Amityville Music Hall, we had just that. Opening the show was Cryptodira, who are anything but strangers to Heavy Blog. Performing a near-new song setlist, they get their friends/fans/those of the like hyped up for their new album which is currently untitled, expected to be out this year (so we think). Following was Disentomb, who are currently are on their first ever US tour. Describing themselves as “brutal death metal,” they brought a 20 minute onslaught of slams. Next was Fallujah. The band is currently wrapping up supporting their last album, The Flesh Prevails, as well as starting to support their new album, Dreamless, available on April 29th, 2016. Concluding the night was The Black Dahlia Murder performing Unhallowed in full, as well as other songs, including some off of their newest album, Abysmal. Seeing as though Unhallowed is an important album to most people, it was great to see it performed in full.
