Vipassi – Śūnyatā

There doesn’t seem to be anything quite like it out there, with its main drawback being that, at just over 30 minutes in length, there simply isn’t enough of it. Still, we must remember that this isn’t a full-length and that, in comparison to other EPs, its runtime is still quite healthy. Given that their other projects are in the middle of writing/touring/recording, this might be all we get from Vipassi for some time. Be sure to savour every moment of it.

A Cheery Wave From Stranded Youngsters is one of the most interesting and diverse collectives out there: we haven’t even mentioned a small fragment of the different variations of post-rock that they house. Add to that fact that they also sport plenty of math-rock, more electronic works and other side roads and you’ve got yourself an impressive body of work. Here’s to anew release sometimes this year and many more incredible bands enjoying the support and name of this astonishing collective!
