We at Heavy Blog Is Heavy are pretty sure a lot of our readers are fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, and it was just made public that drummer Alan Cassidy’s girlfriend, Silvanna Sanchez Rodriguez, was just recently diagnosed with Neurocysticercosis. This disease affects the central nervous system and the two are currently trying to raise funds to get some treatment for this brain parasite that also causes paralysis, swelling of the brain, and even potentially death.
Alan is currently trying to get $10,000 for his girlfriend’s treatment and has created a page on youcaring.com in her honor. If you’ve got a few extra dollars to donate and would like to help out some lovely people in need, we’d be very grateful. We here at the blog are all hoping for a swift and successful recovery, and wish Silvanna, Alan, and the rest of those affected by this our absolute best.
