UPDATE: Guitarist Aaron Marshall had some clarification about the upcoming instrumental release.

Just to clarify, its clear that ‪#‎AVW‬ was not a record written and intended for an instrumental release. The songs were written with vocals in mind, of course. The instrumental re-release is something that has been consistently requested since the initial release of the record, and that request is simply being satiated. For those continuing to speculate on whether or not the band is carrying on with a vocalist or not, this will be addressed soon. What I will say is this is the most confident and honest I’ve felt about the music yet and I can’t wait to share that with everyone. I’ll just leave it at that…

ORIGINAL: For those still droning on and on about how much better Intervals was as an instrumental act, worry no more—the band is re-releasing their first record, A Voice Within, as an instrumental version on March 3rd, 2015 (a week from today).

Over the last year, we’ve received thousands of requests to re-release #AVW instrumentally. Whether its to learn the tunes or explore the music on its own, we hope you enjoy. It will be available next Tuesday, March 3rd, exactly one year from the original release.
To those wondering whats next… New music is underway and its some of the most fun, challenging and honest material yet. Be sure to follow us on here and Instagram @intervalsmusic for updates.

I don’t know about you, but this seems to solidify the idea that the band will be proceeding without a vocalist. With no announcement about a new singer roughly three months after the auditioning process coupled with the “re-“release of the debut album as an instrumental, it’s safe to say that Intervals will be continuing on with what they started with In Time and The Space Between.

Having auditioned for the vocalist position and hearing the instrumental tracks of “Ephemeral” and “Moment Marauder,” I’m having a hard time backing the idea that an instrumental version of A Voice Within is really fitting. The album was built and written with Mike Semesky‘s singing in mind, so it might be safe to say that some of the tracks may feel a bit empty [example] without vocals.

In any case, stay tuned for more vocal covers from yours truly.
