Not content with appearing at this years Download and Euroblast festivals, SikTh have just announced a full UK headlining tour with support from Heart Of A Coward and Idiom. From someone who caught the tail end of their set at Download 2003 (yes, I had impeccable taste even as a 13 year old) this is more than great news. I was unable to get over to Download this weekend and no chance of getting to Germany to Euroblast so this is sweet, sweet music to my ears so this opportunity will not be passed up!
SikTh have long been regarded as the proprietors and founding fathers of this modern type of metal that you cannot get away from. If you are unaware of their esteem and are not privy to the delights found in their back catalog then get this changed immediately. Whether this is simply a reunion tour or whether the band have any intention of recording new material we can but speculate at this moment in time. For now, I leave you with my personal favourite SikTh song from their debut album The Trees Are Dead & Dried Out, Wait For Someting Wild. Check the dates and go to the show nearest you. It’s worth quitting your job if you have to, honest.
