damned spring uk tour april 2014

Basick Records’ Italian representatives Damned Spring Fragrantia have announced a handful of UK dates with support from Nexilva (who have recently signed to Ghost Music and Subliminal Groove Records) and Scottish groove contingent From Sorrow To Serenity. The djentmathcore (I’m struggling for a genre here, clearly) band from Parma are set to hit several clubs in Scotland and England as part of their return to the UK.

Their debut on Basick Records, Divergences, gained them some attention across the internet metal world, including Heavy Blog’s 90’s dance enthusiast John Skibeat who reviewed the record last year. The support acts on this tour are two fresh, up and coming acts from either side of the currently contested border – Nexilva have an album set to drop in a few months which many here at Heavy Blog are excited about and From Sorrow To Serenity who are fresh off a six date UK tour with Doomed From Day One. The short tour hits some smaller venues across the country but will be jam packed with tech-riffs, headbanging moments and bags of groove. Check out videos from the lads in Nexilva and From Sorrow To Serenity to get into the spirit of things and get down to one of these shows if you can. Also, any suggestions for an actual genre name to stick these bands under are welcome in the comment box below. Best suggestions wins thall.
