Relapse Records are a staple in the metal community, known as a mecca for all that is extreme metal. In their ranks, you’ll find a diverse array of artists performing doom, sludge, death, grind, and pretty much everything in between. They’re not exactly known for post- or prog metal acts, but perhaps the label are branching out with the signing of the Philadelphia shoegaze group Nothing.

Obviously, the group is an outlier in the Relapse roster, with a clear My Bloody Valentine influence high in fuzzy distortion and dreamy reverb. You can stream Nothing’s new track, ‘Dig,’ below.

You’ll be able to hear more of the group when their debut album Guilty of Everything drops in 2014.
