It’s seems we’ll have to wait even longer for the return of the Polish powerhouse, Behemoth. The band took to their Facebook page earlier today to announce that their new album The Satanist, which was originally scheduled for the fall of this year, will now see a release in early 2014 — no exact date has been confirmed however. The release reads:
The release of Polish extreme metal masters BEHEMOTH’s upcoming tenth studio album »The Satanist« that has previously been announced for this fall has now been postponed to early 2014 and will be accompanied by an extensive headlining tour – further information including the exact dates to follow soon!
Naturally, this has prompted everyone and their mother to cry ‘Necrophagist!’ but I can’t see this reaching that sort of levels of delay. Also, the announcement of an upcoming headlining tour means they can’t exactly shy away from questions pertaining to the progress of the album and means that I may actually finally get to see them live! And when you think it, scarily, 2014 isn’t really that far away.
