Existem are a fantastic metal band from Kansas who we’ve discussed on here before, and their album Years Of Winter is awesome and if you don’t check it out, then you’re not doing the right thing. Anyways, today I’m here to share with you a studio update from the bands upcoming EP, which is still unnamed. Check the video below!

It sounds like there will definitely be some growth from their first album, which is a good thing.  Guitarist/vocalist Chris Gochis had this to say about the new EP:

“This new EP is taking the band in a newer direction musically. It takes a turn from the darker and heavier side of Years of Winter and sheds a little light on our sound. These songs include some new concepts we have yet to try, and we are excited for people to hear a new twist on the Existem sound.”

Guitarist Bran Trinkl adds:

“There are a lot of elements on this EP that are new to us, but its still Existem at the core. We write what we’re feeling, and this is what that brought us. But, at the end of the day, we’re Existem and do not know how to correctly operate a camera.”

Any band, no matter how well they do what they do, can find room to grow and improve, and I think the band are on the right path. We’ll have more info as it comes in!   -SS
