misery signals 2013

As a long-time fan of Misery Signals, I am absolutely stoked for their newest album Absent Light. Using IndieGoGo to fund album creation – and all the fun perks that come with it such as a tour cycle and merchandise – the band doubled their campaign goal by raising $104,060 after everything was said and done.  And just today Basick Records announced they would be exclusively helping the band distribute the album throughout both the UK and Europe.

This is great news. Basick continues to prove they have good taste in music, while also helping bring Absent Light to international fans.  This release is highly anticipated for established fans. The song preview sounds like a perfect blend of the heavier moments found on Controller with the melody of their work in Mirrors. Check it out below:

If you didn’t already claim your copy of the new album through their fund-raising campaign, you can get your copy July 22nd in Europe and the UK, and July 23rd in the U.S.  Pre-Orders are found here through Basick and here for the U.S. They’ll begin touring prior to the album release with The Color Morale, Elitist, Intervals, and The Kindred (formerly known as Today I Caught The Plague). If you haven’t seen Misery Signals live yet it is in your interest to do so. Everything sounds flawless live, and Karl is an absolute beast of a vocalist. Tour dates are as follows:
