Byzantine has been one of my most anticipated records of this year. Treading ground between Lamb of God and Mastodon yet carving a path all their own, West Virginian metallers Byzantine have forged a name for themselves in underground circles, earning quite a bit of respect and acclaim over the years before breaking up in 2008. Now our good friends at No Clean Singing are streaming the group’s first post-reformation record, aptly self-titled as a testament to the band’s new sound and DIY function.
If you’re wanting a taste of the album before clicking through, you can watch the video for the single ‘Soul Eraser‘ below:
Byzantine is available now through the band’s official store as well as iTunes and Amazon. Go get it and support independent metal!
