Bassist Adam Duce and Machine Head have parted ways. Via Facebook:
“Machine Head and bassist Adam Duce have parted ways. The split is amicable, and Machine Head would like to wish Adam the best with his current and future endeavors. The band will continue on for the time being as a three-piece and have begun the writing process for their follow-up to 2011′s “Unto The Locust“. A late 2013 release is projected.”
This sucks. Machine Head are one of my favorite bands, and a big part of the band was Adam Duce’s bass. I loved his tone and what he contributed to the rhythm section of the group, and some of my favorite moments from the band have to do with his amazing bass parts. I wonder if there will be any further explanation of what happened. I know Robb and Adam had been going to therapy due to their constant fighting, but I didn’t think it was this severe. At any rate, we wish him the best, and let’s hope he ends up in a band that warrants his talents, if he continues to pursue music. We’ll have news of his replacement as soon as we get it.
