Progressive/experimental deathcore act Arsonists Get All The Girls — who released one of the greatest deathcore albums ever with 2009’s Portals — is hitting the studio to record their fifth album, but not without another shakeup in their ever-changing lineup. The 2013 iteration of the band sees the departure of vocalist Jared Monette and guitarist Arthur Alvarez, with no mention or statement made from anyone involved. However, it was announced that the band’s original vocalist Remi Rodberg had re-joined the group. The band hasn’t made much of a fuss about it either; a press release went out on Friday (below), but made no mention of it on Facebook and instead let pictures from the studio and a new promo photo (above) speak for themselves.
2013 marks a busy year for the Santa Cruz metallers ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS. The band is currently in the studio with Zach Ohren (Animosity, All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth, Light This City) working on their upcoming 5th full length, and the band has welcomed original vocalist Remi Rodberg back into the band full time. Remi’s vocals can be heard on early ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS releases like Hits From The Bow and The Game Of Life, which were defining albums for the band and the genre itself. With the new material, look out for a faster, heavier, crazier, yet extremely focused ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS as the band looks to return to their roots, with Remi Rodberg adding a key piece.
Now down to one guitarist and their original vocalist, expect the new record to mark a significant change in sound. We’ll see where it goes later this year when the album is released later this year. The band are apparently no longer on Century Media Records, so expect an announcement of a new label soon enough.
