Melodic death metal supergroup System Divide, which has the singers of Aborted and Distorted, and the rest of the instruments are also performed by members of other accomplished bands. Their debut album The Vagaries of Perception was one of my favorite records of the year and I still give it a listen once every few days. Now they’ve come out with a new single titled ‘Ephemera’, and it builds upon their previous sound to make it even better.

There is more of an orchestral and epic tone to the song, and the guitar work is more intense too. Overall it’s a great song that serves to remind that System Divide are still on the map, and they’ve just announced tour dates with Epica, Alestorm and Insomnium (my favorite melodeath band!) and you should definitely try to see them! Dates are after the jump.
