Xerath‘s latest album II may have been released well over a year ago, but that hasn’t stopped the band supporting it in the way it deserves. Not only was it one of the most underrated albums of 2011, it was also one of the best, so I was pretty happy to see that today the band released a video accompaniment to my personal favourite track, ‘Machine Insurgency‘.

While I’m not exactly sure what the first half of the video represents, the visuals are strangely apt for the title — those writhing blacked out bodies sure hit that fine line between organic and mechanical, for instance. But, at the heart of it, it’s the music that’s the stand out point here, and if nothing else, treat this as another chance for you to latch onto a great band if you just so happened to have missed them the first time around.
