Pig Destroyer was my gateway into grindcore and they’re a strong influence in my own musical project (which I’ll surely discuss at some later point). Their last record, 2007’s Phantom Limb, is ridiculously catchy for grind; Pig Destroyer can groove for days, and Scott Hull is a riff machine. There’s a reason they’re legends in the genre and have a throne comfortably in the upper echelons of extreme metal.

Their forthcoming album Book Burner promises to continue this trend of grooving grind riffs and poetic gore, and the latest track to see the light of day is no exception. ‘Burning Palm’ is available for streaming via the lyric video below:
