Purveyors of epic blackened grindcore Anaal Nathrakh are not only working on their new album, but they’ve made the promise to play more shows than usual. This is a big deal, as Annal Nathrakh are a bit of a rarity outside of the festival circuit in Europe. I suppose the demand for the British apocalyptic harbingers is at an all-time high, and their gaining popularity is putting them more at ease with more extensive touring.
This November, the band is flying out to eastern Canada for a trek of headlining dates. Here’s the itinerary:
Nov 08 Cactus Bar Rimouski, Canada
Nov 09 The Bus Stop Theatre Halifax, Canada
Nov 10 The Manhattan Moncton, Canada
Nov 11 L’Agitée Quebec City, Canada
Nov 12 MAVERICKS Ottawa, Canada
Nov 13 Wreckroom Toronto, Canada
Nov 14 The Corktown Pub Hamilton, Canada
Nov 15 Serbian Centre Sudbury, Canada
Nov 16 Petit théatre Rouyn Noranda,
Nov 17 Le Thrash St Hyacinthe, Canada
Nov 18 Le Magog Sherbrooke, Canada
You lucky Canucks. Hopefully they can make it down to the US sometime. Things are looking good for 2013, with the band “working on more for next year… probably a lot more then usual.” This adds weight to the speculation that Anaal Nathrakh may wind up on the bill of Maryland Deathfest, what with Benediction (which features Anaal Nathrakh vocalist Dave Hunt) already confirmed. Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed!
