DEVWATCH: Help Devin Townsend Make A Silly Video; Official ‘Lucky Animals’ Stream Available

So as you may know, Devin Townsend Project‘s new single ‘Lucky Animals‘ premiered on Full Metal Jackie this weekend and subsequently made its way online. Yesterday, the official stream quietly made its way online as well, and you can stream it in high quality via the soundcloud player below.

On top of that, Devin’s opening up the video making process to his fans, asking for their own videos “performing” to the song. Lip synching, air guitar, dancing, and general silliness are called for in this crowd-sourced video. Below, Devin explains the spirit of the video, what he’s looking for, the rules, and then gives us the ultimate example that changes the face of modern dance as we know it at around 4 minutes in.

Brilliant! I died during the crotch chop. Heaven’s pretty cool, by the way. There’s free wifi up here.

Seriously though, you folks should definitely submit a video once the official site for this project is operational. We’ll let you know when it’s open, but you should go ahead and prepare to be a star in a Devin Townsend video so you can brag to your friends and show the internet your baller dance moves. It’s a shame that Devin set the bar so high though. How he expects us  to top that showcase of skill is beyond me.
