That means it’s cancelled, I guess.

After half of the lineup dissolving from this would-be festival tour a couple of weeks ago, Misery Index posted the following update on Facebook:

Due to a series of unfortunate events, we’re not doing any shows on any shockwave/Fear Factory/Voivod etc. tour. It’s cancelled. Sorry for the confusion, we are extremely upset about this and sorry to any fans who bought tix

As well as Voivod:

Shockwave tour is no longer as advertised, Voivod really wanted to be touring but the situation was out of the band’s control and the tour producers could not live up to the promises.

And this little gem happened as we were off for Independence Day for reasons Amurrica:

“It is with great disappointment that we have to make this announcement. With the recent departure of Voivod from the Shockwave Festival lineup. As well as low advance tickets sales we have decided to pull the plug on the Shockwave Festival.”

For purchases made with a credit card, your card will automatically be refunded. All other refunds are available at point of purchase.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.”

So yeah, there’s that. I lost interest after Vildhjarta had been dropped from the tour, but it’s still a bummer for all of  those that bought tickets for the festival.
