We’re all pretty stoked about the upcoming Periphery album Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal, which kind of goes without saying. I myself have been a fan since I heard the pre-production of ‘Light‘ with Chris Barretto before their first album was released. Fanboy status was achieved a while ago. With that in mind, it doesn’t take much forethought to conclude that after their album announcement last week, there would be a new song on the horizon to get even more excited over. However, I didn’t know that it’d only be less than a week before the band released their new single ‘Make Total Destroy’ (above).
It definitely sounds like Periphery, but it’s obvious that frontman Spencer Sotelo has gotten ballsier. Some of the vocal melodies and general #swag during the song reminds me of Protest the Hero a bit, which is just fine. The production also takes a step up overall, which is always a good thing!
‘Make Total Destroy’ is now available on iTunes. Go grab it and get stoked for Periphery II, which drops July 3rd on Sumerian Records.
