Decapitated‘s Carnival Is Forever, aside from being one of my favourite records of 2011, was quite possibly one of the best comebacks in the history of metal. It’s been talked about countless times before, but I think it’s still worth mentioning. Listening to a track like ‘Homo Sum‘, for instance, it’s easy to be drowned in those brutalized Meshuggah style riffs and continuous pummeling battery and forget just exactly what the band had recovered from. However, I digress. The video for ‘Homo Sum‘ is a fairly standard affair, mostly comprised of band performance footage and is fairly similar in style to the video Meshuggah released a while back — so it’s definitely the music here that you want to stay for, especially the surprisingly atmospheric solo at around 2 minutes in.

Spelling mistakes aside, it’s another great video from a great album. If you haven’t heard it yet, what’s wrong with you?
