Sonisphere, the annual cross-European metal festival, is entering its fourth year this year, and the Blighty-iteration has already begun to rival the crown of Download as the nation’s biggest metal festival.
Some are citing this year’s initial line-up announcement, released yesterday, as somewhat disappointing, but I think there’s definitely some good value there. Mastodon for one will be playing new album The Hunter in full, besides the likes of the unrivalled Faith No More, recently reformed hardcore punk legends Refused, Gojira, and Ghost. I wouldn’t say I’m raving for it, but I wouldn’t say no.
