Having heard the new Goatwhore album Blood For The Master, I can tell you that without a doubt previous fans will love it – it’s got everything that makes Goatwhore so enjoyable, condensed into forty minutes – but don’t just take my word for it. Decibel have given you the chance to hear one of my favourite tracks from it, ‘When Steel And Bone Meet‘, over at the ever-awesome Deciblog. There are thrashing riffs, a surprisingly catchy chorus, and even a killer solo fairly early on in proceedings; easily enough to lift anyone out of that mid-week slump.
Not only that, but you can also stream the album’s title track over at Decibel, you lucky bastards! The internet is far too good to you.
You can pick your copy of Blood For The Master up this coming Valentines Day on Metal Blade because nothing says “I love you” quite like mashing your reproductive organs together by the fire to the soothing sounds of ‘Death To The Architects Of Heaven‘ or ‘Judgement Of The Bleeding Crown‘. On a side note, the album art is spectacular, eschewing the normal trend of having highly detailed ‘gore-based’ art for something that looks like the product of Roy Lichtenstien if he was into black metal and not comic books. However, I can’t find any allusion to who made it, any of you more internet savvy people happen to know?
