Last I heard, the djent progenitors Meshuggah have been working on their new record for a while, and judging by a new sting of UK dates, it leads me to believe they’re just about done and plan to have everything ready by spring. That’s just speculation, so don’t quote me on that. Roughly though, the first half of 2011 and we’ll have some new ‘shuggah for everyone to rip off. SPLENDID.

Here are the tour dates, you mangy bunch of Brits. [via Metal Hammer]

Thurs 12th Bristol O2 Academy (http://www.ticketweb.co.uk)
Fri 13th Wolverhampton Slade Rooms (http://www.wolvescivic.co.uk)
Sat 14th Nottingham Rock City (http://www.alt-tickets.co.uk)
Sun 15th Glasgow Garage (http://www.triplegmusic.com/)
Tue 17th Manchester Academy (http://www.livenation.co.uk)
Wed 18th Norwich Waterfront (http://www.ueaticketbookings.co.uk)
Thu 19th Brighton Concorde 2 (http://www.seetickets.com)
Fri 20th London Electric Ballroom (http://www.livenation.co.uk)

Hopefully they’ll announce a US tour soon as well and have an equally badass lineup like they had a few years back with The Faceless and Cynic, both scheduled to also release albums next year as well. Someone make it happen again, dammit.
