Okay, so this one is a couple of days old, but I think it’s still worth mentioning for those of you who haven’t heard yet.
Alex Dean, founding member and bassist of UK tech-metal outift Architects, left the band back in February to deal with some family issues. The world allowed him his privacy, and the Architects machine rumbled on with various tours in support of their latest effort, The Here And Now.
He is now back in the band though, saying:
“I’m very happy to be able to say that I’m back. Being able to stay at home for the past few months have given my family and I the opportunity adjust to what happened last year and I know its done us all a lot of good. After missing out on the few tours that the guys did without me I felt pretty bad about not being a part of the band anymore. Now things are moving forward for my family and this is what I need to be doing!”
Good for him and for them. Not sure this will change anything about what we feel is a dubious musical direction, but we’re miserly old bastards, so take no notice.
