Amon Amarth are a great but predictable band – not that that’s necessarily a bad thing; you can always be sure that every album is going to be filled to the brim with fist-pumping viking anthems. You know, the sort of music to have a noble death to.

And so, in turn, they provide some of the more generic but still awesome artwork. I mean, a viking with a flaming sword should be old hat by now, but what else would they have on the cover (Apparently, the viking is a depiction of Surtur himself, who during Ragnarok, will bring enough fire to engulf the entire earth. Sweet.)?

Surtur Rising will be released on the 29th of March through Metal Blade records and will hopefully be released alongside a special edition with more band member bobbleheads. I really wanted one of those.
