Alright, so Haste the Day has never been my favorite band, and they sure as shit aren’t your favorite band either. But I thought I should remind you that they are heading out on their last tour next month, and they might be worth checking out if they come through town.

Why? Well because The Chariot are opening for them, duh!  I think most of us can agree that The Chariot fucking rules and Long Live is a slammin’ record, so here’s your chance to see them put on their near legendary live show.

So if that’s not enough information to make you think about coming to see this tour, I can tell you that the other two bands on the tour- MyChildren MyBride and headliners Haste the Day-are nothing if not decent as well. I don’t own a single album by MyChildren MyBride, but I have seen them live  enough times to know that they are a good live band. Their brand of metalcore is simple but loud and effective and refreshingly devoid of clean vocals.

As for Haste the Day, well shit man—it’s their last tour ever.  So you know they will be bringin’ the thunder.  They have also promised to include some special never-before-played live material on this  tour as well, as well as songs from each of their five albums.  When I was younger I loved Burning Bridges, didn’t love the next album When Everything Falls nearly as much, and by the time they changed singers, got really preachy with their Christian message and put out Pressure the Hinges, I had completely lost interest (and track of) Haste the Day.  Until 2009’s Attack of the Wolf King came out.  It sounds nothing like the Haste the Day on Burning Bridges, probably in part to the continuous lineup shifts they have endured. But shit, Attack of the Wolf King could actually be their masterpiece as well as their swan song.
