Chimp Spanner is a solo progressive/ambient metal project from Essex. Much like American counterpart Cloudkicker (who is probably his closest comparison), Paul Ortiz is a one-man writing, producing, mixing and master machine. He’s got a couple of albums out: 2005’s Imperium Vorago, and more recently At the Dream’s Edge from which the following track is taken.

Unike Cloudkicker, however, Chimp Spanner is also a live project; one which I highly recommend you check out- and in fact, keep checking back as you might be able to find out when exactly very soon…
