A couple of things have been coming out of the Glassjaw camp of late, and considering their usual abject silence, it might be safe to assume something is in the works. Good news as far as I’m concerned.
The latest is this ‘performance’ video of a more recent track entitled ‘All Good Junkies Go To Heaven’. I say performance; it’s essentially just the four of them standing in front of a white brick wall with some light on them playing their instruments. Unfortunately this is also my experience of them live (sans white wall). Perhaps I’m being slightly unfair – Daryl Palumbo isn’t well a lot of the time, having suffered from the weakening Crohn’s Disease for much of his life – but it ain’t much to look at. I’ll let you decide for yourself though; find it here on their website.
That said, I am looking forward to the prospect, however slim, of a new Glassjaw record. I love both Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence and Worship and Tribute for different reasons, and Palumbo is one of my favourite vocalists; I could marry the guy’s voice.
As ever, we’ll pass on any news as and when we hear it.
