Norma Jean have released their video for “Deathbed Atheist,” which is off of their surprisingly awesome album Meridional. The short version: Meridional gives a good balance of past and present Norma Jean, and does it seemingly effortlessly. Seriously, give the album a listen.

The video for “Deathbed Atheist” features more prominent use of roughly sketched imagery in the style of their music video for “Blueprints for Future Homes” from 2006’s Redeemer. This video also contains no performance shots in warehouses or any other motif that’s been plaguing music videos as of late. Instead, a very cryptic and interesting music video that’s easy and fun to watch. No overly frantic cuts that drag your focus all over the place, and that’s a good thing. And the song’s pretty cool too.

Meridional is out now on Razor & Tie. Go give it a listen.
