A lot of you probably think of the To Write Love On Her Arms organization as some sort of scene or emo movement. A lot of you are also assholes. I know correlation =/= causation, but I can’t help but wonder.

For those of you who are unaware of this group, here’s their mission statement:

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.  TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

Seems like a cause anyone can get behind, if you ask me. I’m sure most people know of someone going through something like this, and chances are good that you know someone who is, as 121 million people worldwide suffer from depression, according to the World Health Organization.

Wednesday (4/21) is To Write Love On Her Arms Day. The point is to raise awareness by writing the word “love” on your arm. It’s that simple. It might sound lame, but I’m sure it’s going to raise awareness somewhere, and it beats asking people for money.

This post will be sticky up here till Wednesday night. Any new posts that may or may not come will be below this one.

Visit their website for more info.

I’m done being preachy now. Enjoy your day!
