Mark Hawkins (Soul Cycle, Assimilated Mind Phase) and Vishal J. Singh (Amogh Symphony) are no strangers to collaboration. Mark Hawkins gets around like a guitar whore (he’s one of the classy brothel types, not some street walker!) and has worked with Vishal on a number of different songs. It was only a matter of time before the two had a project together.

I present to you: Robots Pulling Levers.

Mark tells me they hope to have an album out in 2011, which will perhaps feature a number of different guest musicians. This will no doubt be some killer shred.

Stay tuned!

Amogh Symphony‘s upcoming album The Quantum Hack Code is a definite killer. I reviewed it earlier this week and I stand by my claim of it being more impressive than Animals As Leaders‘ debut. I should probably stop comparing the two, as they are different beasts altogether, but I want to give you an idea of what to expect.

And now you do! Amogh Symphony has debuted a new song, “Osiris 1″ on Soundcloud. They have disabled embedding (BUT WHY?!?!), so you’ll have to just click through to hear it. It’s amazing!

There doesn’t seem to be a release date for it yet, but if you feel compelled enough to pre-order the album, you can do so right here. DO IT DO IT DO IT.

Friend of the site Mark Hawkins (Eating Infinity, Soul Cycle) has uploaded a collaborative acoustic track featuring Luke Jaeger ( ex-Hunab Ku & Sleep Terror) and Vishal J. Singh (Amogh Symphony). The song was produced by Vishal, who plays in the left channel with Mark at the right and Luke at the center.

I know this site’s called “Heavy Blog Is Heavy” and all, but if you can’t appreciate these smooth and sexy tones, then you can rightly go fuck yourself. This is a seriously amazing song, and you should give it a few listens via the SoundCloud player below.

In other Mark Hawkins related news, Soul Cycle, his melodic metal project with Chris Catharsis (who wrote for us that one time), is complete and is about to be released to rock faces the world over. Be sure to check the band’s Facebook for more info as it comes in! After the jump, a sampler from the album!
