Christmas Coming Early

I’m a fucking scrooge and no mistake, but I can’t say no to Julie Christmas, no matter my feelings towards her festive namesake; the lady is quality.

Frontwoman of Heavy Blog favourites Made Out of Babies and Battle of Mice amongst others, Christmas has recently signed with Rising Pulse Records with a view to releasing her first solo album The Bad Wife on November 9th.

As well as the usual CD/digital editions, there will also be a deluxe coloured 12″ available at some point. Also being produced is a video for the album’s first single Bow.

Given the standard of her previous work, this is sure to be a top notch release. She is a vocalist of the highest calibre, on par with your Mike Pattons and your Axl Roses (loljk), so get pysched my friends!

For those of you who don’t know, Spylacopa is a metal group featuring John LaMacchia (Candiria), Jeff Caxide (Isis), Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan), and Julie Christmas (Made out of Babies). Their debut EP, Spylacopa was released late last year on Rising Pulse Records.

I’m excited to hear this new material. The EP was really good, but that’s what’s expected when you put a group of people like this together to make music.
