This is the first I’ve heard of it, but just in case it’s news to anyone else, the previously anonymous band Ghost now has a face. According to Encyclopaedia Metallum, behind the Satanic Pope attire is allegedly Tobias Forge, also of the band Repugnant. This came to light once it was discovered that he has writing credits as “A Ghoul Writer” in the Swedish Performing Rights Society, the name which was credited in the liner notes to Ghost’s debut album Opus Eponymous.
So the secret’s out. Sorry if this somehow affected your enjoyment of Ghost. It really shouldn’t, but there you go.
