Apparently.
Either Chimaira are releasing an ambient drone record, or skip to the 30 second mark to hear approximately ten seconds of new Chimaira music.
It’s actually not bad, but it cuts out right before it gets good. Utter cockteases.

Oh shit. Matt Pike’s gonna kill somebody.
Snakes for the Divine, the highly anticipated follow up to 2007′s Death Is This Communion, hit the internet within the last couple of days. With the end of Did It Leak, it makes it harder to keep up with what new albums are floating around to sample. So this may have been around for a bit longer, but this is the first I’ve heard of it.
If you’d like to report any future metal album leaks, give us a shout at the email address at the right. It’s over there somewhere.
Snakes for the Divine is available legitimately February 23rd on E1 Records. Check out a YouTube video of “Frost Hammer” below if you’re in for a more legal taste of things to come.

Remember when I said “Frost Hammer” had to be the cheesiest metal song title of the year so far, and that the song would most likely make up for it?
Well I was right. The song slays!
Stereogum is streaming High on Fire‘s new song “Frost Hammer” exclusively here. Sounds like High on Fire, but that’s expected. Although, vocals around 3:40? Totally Alice in Chains.
So this tasty jam is off of their upcoming fifth album, Tentacle Rape Snakes for the Divine, which is out February 23rd on E1 Records.
Tracklist is after the jump, because it doesn’t need to be on the front page twice.

And I swear, I think I saw this in a hentai one time.

Snakes for the Divine is High On Fire‘s fifth studio album, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2007 opus Death Is This Communion. It’s currently slated for release on February 28 via E1 Music, formerly Koch Records. I was completely unaware that High On Fire no longer had a deal with Relapse. Crazy times.
Tracklist is as follows:
01. Snakes for the Divine
02. Frost Hammer
03. Bastard Samurai
04. Ghost Neck
05. Fire, Flood & Plague
06. How Dark We Pray
07. Holy Flames of the Fire Spitter
08. Mystery of Helm
Frost Hammer may be the most cliche metal song title I’ve ever heard so far this year, although the song probably makes up for it.
