Teethgrinder are your new favorite Dutch extreme metal act, because everybody needs one. By no means a fledgling band, this noisy group of Netherlands gentlemen manifest a wholly immersive musical experience that throws attitude in ahead of experience. Violent powerviolence and grind addled black metal blare from the fingers and limbs of this band. The sort that we love to tell you about here at Heavy Blog.
Teethgrinder have not long released their second full length, Misanthropy; a record that crams in as much politically charged venom as humanly possible. Their balls out approach to crushing anything and everything that gets in their way is downright primitive and repulsive; repulsive in the most complimentary of the meaning of the word. D-beats and dirty bass lines scrape to the quick, giving just enough space for those beautiful moments before a mosh kicks off. They have condensed grind, blackened hardcore and straight death metal riffing into a complete package. Debut album Hellbound saw them flirt with the sound that they have just about perfected here, enough so that they’re supporting Napalm Death very shortly. Play Teethgrinder loud and play them a lot because, somewhere in Europe right now, the band are telling an audience to go fucking crazy and you should be doing the same. Doesn’t matter whether it’s from the comfort of your home, your car or work; this band deserves more attention from fans of extreme music.
