Last year’s album from Aussie deathcore troupe Aversions Crown was one of my favorite deathcore drops of the year, and, quite honestly, has become one of my favorite deathcore albums ever. The use of dread-filled atmosphere that has laced their science-fiction-themed tracks and stupidly heavy chugs drew me in perfectly and has kept me under the band’s spell.

Yesterday, they released a new track continuing in the sound they brought forth on aforementioned last album, Tyrant. This track is as evil and misanthropic as anything from that record, and shows just how much a band’s songwriting chops can increase in a few months. Check it out after the jump.

“Parasites” just spews forth hate. I can’t think of any other way to describe just how malevolent this track is. This song makes me want to hatemosh everyone I see on the street; it drives me violent fist-swinging and kicks of rage. THIS is how you make a deathcore track that combines atmosphere with energy and moshability. Gushing aside, it’s worth noting that this is the first track they’ve released, I believe, since a change in vocalists. Their sound remains largely unchanged instrumentally: it doesn’t sound like the new vocalist has begot a new style for the band.

As far as I know, there are no plans for them to release an album this year, although that would be awesome. If any more news comes forth we will absolutely be all over it.
