Stolas were a band that took me completely by surprise last year with their second album Allomaternal, which absolutely astonished me in the best way. They combined many of the elements I enjoyed from math-rock and indie rock music and then managed to mix it with some really well done prog and pop influences. If you don’t believe me, just read the review here, because Ryan describes it pretty well. If you’re already a fan of the band, you’re in luck! Stolas has announced a summer headlining tour with Artifex Pereo and Eidola, another band whose latest album we’ve been quite fond of around here of late [review], and they’re likely coming to a city near you! Peep the dates after the jump.

It’s a very lengthy tour, covering over a month and nearly every state in the US. It’s really cool, yet also really rare for such a young band. It’s surprising to me that they’re able to tour so extensively, especially since they’re only had two LPs. Hopefully this is a good sign for the band, and they can continue to grow in popularity. Honestly, they’re like a heavier Circa Survive if there ever was one, and they have done nothing but grow exponentially since their inception, so who knows! The sky is ultimately the limit for this band, and they need all the support they can get, so go and see them! I promise you the show will be worth every cent you spend on a ticket.
