Legendary Japanese post-rockers Mono are about to embark on a packed schedule of touring in support of their transcendent double album The Last Dawn/Rays of Darkness (read our double review here and here). They’ve announced a whole slew of European dates through their Facebook page and elsewhere for April and May that will start in Vienna and end at the Dunk!Festival in Belgium, where they’ll be headlining a mind-boggingly impressive lineup of post-rock groups. Thanks to a bit of sleuthing on our parts though, it would seem that the group is also planning a sizable US/Canada tour shortly after starting in June. Hit the jump for the European tour dates as well as these yet-to-be-confirmed dates elsewhere!
Those are the European dates above (listed below as well). Our newest staff member Mark Valentino (oh hai Mark!) was snooping around the band’s last.fm page though and found a whole list of North American dates starting June 9 in DC. There have been more dates added just in the past couple of days, so it’s likely the band is waiting to fill out the tour completely before publicly announcing any of it, but they are currently hitting both coasts of the US plus Milwaukee and Dallas, as well as Toronto and Montreal in Canada. Check the list of those dates as well below.
