Despite what you may think of djent, there are more than a few decent covers on this compilation. Drewsif Stalin did a great cover of Dr. Dre‘s ‘The Next Episode’ and if you only listen to one song off this thing, please make it that one. Nexilva‘s cover of Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Pound the Alarm’ is stupidly heavy and enjoyable as well. If you’ve heard the original songs, it’s very interesting to hear them in this setting. Even if you haven’t heard the original songs before, these interpretations are solid as standalone tracks from all the bands involved and worth a listen.
