Tasmanian technical death metal veterans Psycroptic are about to drop their self-titled album early next year and have decided to get the ball rolling now with a brand new music video! While it may be just a performance video at its core, the film quality helps recapture some of the low-budget videos that American death metal bands were releasing in the early-to-mid 90s. ‘Echoes to Come’ is quite a monster that manages to combine the fury of Death’s more progressive material with the passionate heaviness of Gojira, making for quite an excellent introduction to the band. Consider me stoked for the new album!
Psycroptic are currently on tour in Australia with Thy Art is Murder, Revocation and Disentomb. Here’s hoping they come over to the states after the release of the new record.
