Following recent line-up changes, Pomegranate Tiger have announced that they have found themselves a new lead guitarist. The band surprised fans last week when they released a play-through video for “Maxims” featuring former lead guitarist Martin Andres on drums, with an accompanying statement indicating the reassignment would be a permanent change.

While this settled concerns as to who would be taking over for former drummer Phil Gatti (whose departure from the band was announced in a Facebook post from the band near the end of November), it raised questions as to who would be filling in on lead guitar.

These questions were answered yesterday when the band released a video via Facebook declaring long-time friend of the band Brandon White would be taking over lead guitar duties. In addition to this promising news, we were blessed with yet another play-through video with White showing off his chops and proving himself an ideal fit for the band. Check it out below.

If this video is any indication, there’s no question that Andres has left his former position in good hands. For some bands, line-up changes pose a seemingly insurmountable hurdle, but Pom Tig makes this transition seem almost seamless. With spirits at an all time high, the future looks bright for these up-and-coming Canucks. Keep your eyes peeled for Pomegranate Tiger’s next full-length album, tentatively set for release in early 2015.
