Primus have been gearing up for the release of their tribute album to the classic film Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory for months now. Back in July, the group announced their classic lineup reunion and unveiled plans to release Primus & the Chocolate Factory, a re-imagining of the film’s soundtrack in a true Primus off-puttingly psychedelic fashion. Finally due for release next week, the album can now be heard in its entirety via New York Times. It’s a trip, man.

October 25 – Boston, MA @ Orpheum Theatre
October 26 – Burlington, VT @ Flynn Center for Performing Arts

The band have plans on performing the album in its entirety with Les Claypool’s The Fungi Ensemble. You can about guarantee the stage show is going to be as whacky as the music. If you can make it out to any of the dates, don’t miss out.
