I think Bloodshot Dawn are the saviors of melodic death metal. Their self-titled 2012 debut was the shot in the arm the genre needed, and they’ve been working on a new album for a while now. Well, today, they released a new song titled ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ along with a video, and oh my god. This is even better than their debut.
The song is super heavy, has a bunch of tasty riffs, polyrhythms, an amazing breakdown section, a bunch of solos… everything really. It’s so crazy heavy, catchy and amazing overall. Their second album Demons releases on the 26th of October, and you can preorder it here.
