I used to be into Unearth‘s first three albums, but their last two albums were pretty disappointing for me. When I saw that there was live footage of a new song from them, I totally wrote it off and was almost not even going to listen to it. Turns out that was a big mistake, because this new song is awesome. This new track titled “The Swarm” is fast, with blast beats, tremolo picking, sweeps, soaring solos and a breakdown that makes one want to smash stuff. Now I’m very excited for their upcoming album. We don’t have a release date or title for their upcoming album (other than a vague sense that they will release it in 2014). We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
