We’ve seen a slew of great releases via Subliminal Groove Records recently, a succession that is quickly gaining the young label a reputation for being home to standout acts in the heavy music scene. Indiana’s The Room Colored Charlatan are one such band, and they’re currently on the brink of releasing their sophomore LP, Primitives. The album is a nice slice of progressive metal that is heavily influenced by The Contortionist‘s landmark record Exoplanet, and in preparation for its release they’ve provided a full stream of the 41-minute effort which you can hear below:

Although deathcore elements are definitely present, there seems to be a much bigger focus on melodic riffs and passages here, which goes over quite well. The album will officially be released tomorrow, and we’ll have a review of it for you soon. In the meantime go support these guys on facebook, and enjoy the music!
