Last week, we heard a track from

David Maxim Micic

‘s next venture; the long expected Destiny Potato album, Lun (which was supposed to be released by Century Media — wonder what happened there?). The track featured many of the staple Micic sound, including catchy breakdowns, djenty riffs and superb vocal support from

Aleksandra Djelmas. Taking all of these facts into the account, the bar was certainly raised in terms of expectations. Now, Lun is not only available for purchase but is also streaming in full! You can listen to it right here, after the jump.

I must say that I am currently divided on this release. To be certain, there are truly a few gems in here, like the touching ‘Machine’ or the infectiously poppy ‘Take a Picture’. Overall though, something seems to be missing. Perhaps more innovation in the song structure, variations that have been the strong point of previous Micic releases. Aleksandra’s vocals are amazing as always, but the instruments that accompany her seem a bit repetitive and at times serve as a poor back drop to her skill. However, this is certainly an album that demands repeated listens and many of those are sure to come soon. In the meanwhile, make up your own mind and be sure to give this new step in David’s career a thorough listen.
