What do you get when you combine the technical and melodic tendencies of CHON with clean vocals that would be perfectly at home in an A Day To Remember song? Apparently, the answer is The Afterimage‘s new track “ONYX”. The Toronto, ON based outfit are currently working on a brand new album, and judging from how fun this song is, it’s going to be an awesome record. Have a listen:

The tune also has it’s heavier moments for sure, and they’re not bad by any means. Where the music really shines though is when progressive metal and pop-punk blend seamlessly together. Hopefully it won’t be long before we get to hear some more material from these guys. In the meantime however you can purchase the song for a buck if you feel so inclined, and check the band out on facebook.
